Signing up for a Comp Card

If you’ve ever been to a real casino then you know that there is always some sort of a promotion on offer, regardless of the time of year or season. Casinos spend a lot of money in advertisements, and love to gain residual customers that will continue to come back and make reservations year after year. Most people don’t realize that they can begin earning casino rewards and taking home items even as they play slot machines. In fact, you don’t even have to win at slots to take advantage of the free items that casinos love to give away on a regular basis.

Before you begin playing slots, make sure you sign up for a comp card with the casino. Ask any one of the casino employees about their comp card and what kind of benefits it offers. Every game of slots you play will add points to your comp card, which will allow you to recuperate some of the funds lost while playing slots, in the form of free items from the casino gift shop and even free discounts at the casino restaurant and hotel.

If you choose to play without your casino comp card then you will have to live with the fact that you are actually throwing money down the drain unnecessarily. Every game of slots you lose could have at least earned you points on your comp card that can be redeemed in many ways within the casino and the surrounding attractions.

Playing the Maximum Bet

The game of slots relies primarily on chance to determine the outcome, which is why it is very difficult to employ playing strategies that are actually effective. While the game itself cannot be changed, there are ways to maximize your chances of success while playing slots. One of the ways to maximize your winnings in slots is through playing the maximum bet. There are many different types of slot machines, but some machines allow you to place a 1, 2 or 3 coin bet.

The more coins you bet, the higher the reward will be for a winning 777 combination. Some people choose to play only one coin bets, in hopes that they will be able to conserve their coins in have better odds of winning through more spins. Unfortunately, this logic is flawed because even though you will get more spins, the possible reward form those spins is statistically less. In basic terms, by playing less than the maximum you are shorting yourself by limiting your potential winnings.

Some players decide to utilize that maximum bet strategy only after exhausting half of their coins. Statistically, every time the slot machine lever is pulled without striking jackpot you’re increasing the odds of the next spin being a jackpot. Thus, if you use half of your chips for one coin bets to increase the number of spins, by the time you begin playing the maximum bet you will have a higher chance of finally hitting the jackpot with that machine. Keep in mind however that the jackpot will be smaller if you do happen to hit it with a one coin wager, which would definitely make you wish that you had used all three coins!

Slot Paying Tips – How to Maximize Your Chances of Success

Playing slots is perhaps one of the most exhilarating forms of gambling in the world, mostly because it requires very little skill and every pull of the lever brings excitement to the player. While the game is based solely on luck, and there is no skill involved with pulling the lever, there are some things that you can do to maximize your chances of winning while playing slots. Every slot machine is governed by a random number generator that determines the outcome of the symbols shown when you pull the lever. This random number generator holds the key to maximizing your chances of winning at slots. Although there is no way to trick these number generators withins the machine, you can find machines that are more likely to give out cash.

Every slot machine has what is called a payback rate. The payback rate is basically the amount of money that is played in the slot machine that will be returned to various years throughout the use of the slot machine. For example, a slot machine that has 1 million dollars placed into it over its decade of use, and returned about 800,000, would have a total payback percentage of about 80%. Surprisingly, the average payback rate for a slot machine is about 90%.

Unfortunately, every time you sit down at a slot machine you will not get 90 percent of your money back, because most of the payback comes in the form of large jackpots distributed throughout the life of the slot machine. Slot machines are pre-constructed with a specific payback percentage, and the higher payback machines are usually in p[laces that are highly visible. Most casinos want their customers to come back so they put the high payback slot machines near the entrance, aisles or restaurants so that passers by can see people winning jackpots.
